==================================================================

I Tracey Elaine Braun, give the following statement to Robert B. Anderson, a known

member of the Cedar Falls Police Department, of my own freewill. Everything contained

herein is true to the best of my knowledge.

On 100496 around 7:15 P.M., my husband Scott and I had gone to Rudy's Taco's on

Falls Avenue to eat dinner. We left Rudy's around 8:00 P.M. and from there we went to

Brewster's on University Avenue and arrived there around 8:05 P.M. We had plans to

meet with friends at Brewster's and this included, Connie and Craig Young, Tracy and

Delonna Rokes. When we arrived at Brewster's the Young's and the Rokes were already

there.

We went into Brewster's and located them and I saw the guy's (Tracy and Craig)

Standing and the girls, Delonna and Connie seated at a table. We were just sitting there

talking and after awhile a band started playing at Celebration's. We went over to hear

the band and Scott danced and Tracy and Delonna danced. I also remember that Scott

and Delonna danced. The rest of the time we were standing around talking. Most of the

time I was with Delonna.

While at the bar I remember Tracy as being his normal self. We have been to bars with

Tracy before and he is not a big drinker. While we were there I believe Tracy might

have had 3 or 4 beers, but I wasn't watching him and do not know for sure. I know that

he was drinking and didn't seem him have any other kind of drink.

I think Delonna had a couple more to drink then Tracy but I'm not sure, and it's hard

to say because she is so skinny and that effects her different. Delonna didn't seem to be

her normal self and was pretty upset about her mom.

When we left Brewster's I remember looking at my watch and recalled it being around

10:40 P.M. and I told Scott that we had to leave because we had a baby sitter. I

remember looking over along the bar and seeing Tracy and Delonna and that Tracy was

bent over talking to Delonna. Delonna was bent over with her hands on her forehead

and I think she might have been crying. I went over and gave her a pat on her back and

I told her to hang in there and I told her that we were leaving and I said goodbye. Scott

and I then left Brewster's and we arrived home around 11:00 P.M.

Tracy called me Saturday morning around 9:30 to 10:00 A.M. and had told me that he

was in an accident. I asked Tracy if he was OK and he said that they were. Tracy told

me that there were four other girls in the card and that two had walked away, and one

had been airlifted to Iowa City.

Tracy said that you were taking Greenhill home and that Delonna was crying and he

was trying to get her to stop. Tracy swore the light was green and when he looked up he

saw a vehicle in the intersection and that he hit it.

End of statement.
